2012 Recap: You Voted. This Happened.

Six years of Movember. That’s half of a year of my life dedicated to switching up my look in the name of men’s health. And each year you respond and make it worthwhile.

Thanks to all who donate on a yearly basis, and a special thanks for those this year participating on chicagostache.com. It’s tough to keep this fresh and exciting, and this experiment worked out even though there were plenty of obstacles to make this happen.

Raising $1,309 (breaking the $1,000 mark again!), and $7500+ in six years is no joke. Thanks for supporting the cause and giving me reason to continue to do this every year.

Much love. See you again next year.

Thankful for Movember

Movember began as a fun, silly thing to do once a year and irritate Rebecca. As time has gone by and the funds raised have proven to be very efficient in speeding up progress on treatment options and education on cancer in men.

This year’s official theme is “Movember & Sons,” which seems fitting because it’s about taking initiative to help our parents the way they’ve helped us. As some of you know, my dad was diagnosed (and treated) for prostate cancer earlier this year, so this year has given me added motivation to raise money.

So to keep this short, thanks for helping support the Movember cause in years’ past and hopefully you can contribute to this year’s efforts as well.
